Latvian Symbols

The Septiņdienu, or Seven Day Ring/bracelet, is a traditional Latvian design steeped in ancient symbolism. Each piece carries a series of seven symbols, each with its own history, meaning, and energy.

While the interpretations I share here are what I personally use in my designs, these symbols are ancient and their meanings would have varied across different regions and traditions. There are many wonderful books and resources if you’d like to explore further.​

The seven symbols I include are a reflection of hopes, intentions, and positive energy for everyday life. I love the idea of connecting with concepts that are bigger than ourselves—symbols that offer a sense of guidance, protection, and mindfulness as we go about our days.
